There is more to an bigger injector than drilling the holes out.:scare2: I like a jerry rig or two but this is something I would never do.

you need a good hand drill and a 1/8" drill bit....:w2:

Eddiebuntain 04-02-2012 12:33 AM

Then run some Ajax through them to polish 'em up good. Just kidding, they require a bit more precision than that, better contact one of the site sponsors to get a deal on a set.:c:

There are somethings that are better left of to the pros, who know what they are doing....:w2: So much damage can occur from the slightest mistakes on some VERY important parts, like injectors.

Just blast bigger holes in them with dynamite, that'll make her smoke too :tu:

Ohhh man :lol88: good to see you guys showing some restraint. He's going to need alot of air for
An 1/8" hole. You don't need larger holes... Just add a hoe; right in the
Center of the tip :tu: but seriously... You'll Be happier with a new set of
Nozzles or if you can't have them tested and popped, then injectors are the wy to go.

Ooops didn't mean to quote myself.

:jump:use the plasma cutter to blast a hole in em.....would be much faster than the drill

daveO 04-02-2012 08:04 AM

Can't you just cut the tips off with a sawzall or something? :w2:

Trenton;
even Bosch (!) does make custom injectors only in large quantities!
They claim out of 10 only 8 reach the goal.
So there is no injector enlargement by our own. Go, get some OE injectors.
Even a CNC machine will not work- The holes are precision cut with a powerful Laser. Adjustment and measurement is done also with a laser.
Bosch claims to be able to achieve a 10 % tolerance. That means injectors should be sold as matched pairs.

If you use aftermarket injectors, you should check the exhaust temperatures for every single combustion chamber to avoid overheating.

Anyone who claims to do custom work on injectors contacts commonly the manufacturer. Spray pattern and adjustment is very sensitive work. The higher the pump pressure the more difficult it is to achieve an even and uniform spray pattern.

you will need a CNC machine along with what ever type holder you want for your machine.

trying to drill them out on a bench will not work

I figure maybe an EDM machine, either way big bucks& you probably oughta know what your doing, or have a disposable truck to try it out on.:tttt:
