60lbs are what most people usually run with the 4k GSK, and what I'm running too. They should support you to 36-3700rpm
I herd that you only have to have them on the exhaust valves is this true?
yes... because the exhaust valve is the one that the piston chases back up the cylinder bore and hits when the valve floats. the intakes float just like the exhaust but dont hit anything when they do. spend the extra $30 or so buchs and do all 12. and much over 3600rpms even with 60's you are floating valves there isnt much difference in spring pressures.
That's right. The real fix is a set of Hamilton springs and billet retainer/keepers, but they are considerably more expensive.
While you're in there just do all 12. If you're changing them yourself, this is the most useful tool you can buy. Works AWESOME. TORK TOOL 12-VALVE SPRING COMPRESSOR-Dodge Cummins Diesel Truck Accessories – Geno’s Garage |
