head gasket or oil cooler?
on my way to work this morning my temp gauge kept climbin n climbin so i pulled over, popped the hood, the radiator cap was cool so i wrapped a rag around it n opened it(i realize this is not a good idea...) n a milky mess of oil n coolant came rushing out. i'll be haulin it home tomorrow after work but i just wanted to get some opinions. do u guys think its the oil cooler or the head gasket? there is alot of oil in the radiator, but no coolant in the oil. i pulled the dipstick n everything looked normal

It sounds like the oil cooler is out.

Overheating is generally associated with a blown hg. Is combustion gas present in the coolant? Has a compression/leakdown test been performed? Any external hg leaks? What mods are on the truck?

all i've done so far is haul the truck home. no tests performed yet, no external leaks, no white or gray smoke, there is coolant in the oil too tho, i did notice the milky color on the blow by tube when i was chainin it down today. all my mods are in my sig. im wonderin if maybe i have a little too much timing for just studs n a stock gasket... if it is the HG i'll be havin the head machined for o rings
