Weird noises.
Hey guys. I have a '95 3500 4x4 with an auto trans that's all stock besides intake and exhaust.
So when I'm wide open it runs good but around 2500 RPM's I start to hear like a weird rattle kind of popping noise. Is that just the fuel shutting off? I know the fuel starts to cut off around there but I'm not sure if that's what it does lol. Would 3k gov. springs cure my problem? I hate how the truck shifts around 2800 RPM when I'm romping on it and the fuel shuts off before that! Any help would be appreciated! 1995 Ram 3500 4x4 5.9 12 Valve Automatic 4" Straight Pipe to 9" Stack |
under a load your auto truck will rev to 2800 with stock springs? thats aswome. and heavier springs will most likely fix your problem. the truck will be much more enjoyable to drive.

3k gov springs will help with your shift point issue; but if I had to take a stab in the dark... You have low fuel pressure.
