Blue smoke
so when i start my truck in the morning i get a huge cloud of blue smoke. i know i have blowby but id like to fix the problem the less expensve way i can.
Mine does it too, mines not a huge cloud but is noticable. Ive heard its oil that seeps around the pistons into the cylinders and the engine just burns it off. I dont think it hurts anything but burning a smidge of oil.

My '95 does it also when I first start it up. Once the motor warms up for 10 minutes it stops smoking blue.

That's a usuall for an older engine and if u got blow by it probably is jus the rings getting worn out but i wouldn't worry bout it too much cuz once they get warmed up it should be fine
Most do it.:humm:
ya when its warmed up it doesnt let out blue smoke. i do have blowby though
same thing happens over here, after 10 min its fine i wouldnt worry about it to much i work the shit outa my truck and it loves every second of it!! goin on 300k!!:tu:
ok. do i need to pull the head off to pull the pistons? of should i jsut have a shop fix it. oh and to make things better is i think i broke a fuel line :scare2:

A huge cloud on initial start up indicates valve seals in my experience.
