should a block warmer make the water temp gauge come up any? if so how much?

I have ran mine for an hour or so with outside temp around 50* and it didn't show anything on the gauge. But it did warm up faster after start up.

ok another question is how do i know that my grid heater is working?

Watch the volt gauge right after u start the truck u should see it fluctuate when the grid heater's cycle

Should also be able to hear the engine pull down, and the headlights will dim.
