will a 2001 auto trans fit in a 1996 dodge?
 

i mean what the title says, i found a good deal and i need a trans bad.

they should both use same, 47re. couldnt tell ya if connectors would be diff. though

think 95 was last year for rh? could be wrong. they changed somewhere around there.

Generally up to mid 95 had rh.

Yup, I have a 96' and it came factory with a 47RE.

thats what i was saying, guy asked if 01 would work in 96, they are both 47re

I'm just saying he needs to verify by actual manufacture date or vin. Some 95 trucks were built 5/95 and called 96 yet had a rh
Or better yet take a look at the trans but don't just tell him it will work by looking at the year
