12v bearing replacement

i got a 97 that i just put a new moter in and now its knockin... well it still holds great oil pressure (about 55-60psi) anyways i had a oil leak and lost all my oil driving down the road but when i changed my oil i had very little shavings in my oil... so i kept driving it and now the knockings got worse... so i took it to a shop and they checked it over and they dont know whats wrong with it... they checked the valves and said that they arnt to bad off and they killed each cyl. (blocked injection line) and they have no idea whats wrong... they pulled my pump thinking it was making the noise but nothing there... so my question is whats wrong and should i replace my bearings and how... iv never takin one apart but iv got just about everything id need... any info pics or anything to help... im really tired of spending money on this truck...
thanks

i'm going to guess its cylinder 6, piston hitting the cylinder wall

so my rod bearings would be bad? how hard are they and the main bearings to change

if this is what is going on it would likly be because the piston over heated at some point and made contact with the cylinder and galded. could be because it was ran low on oil or because of a stopped up piston cooling nozzle. repair would require removing the engine and a complete tear down and sleeving the block and a new piston in that cylinder. if it is a rod bearing then it has probably allready messed the crank up and again will have to be pulled out. do a compression test on all 6 cylinders and see if one is low if so then remove the head and inspect the cylinder, if the comp test is good then remove the pan and inspect the rod bearings
