Hint, Take the truck for a drive to get it up to operating temp and shut down. loosen the lock nut on the idle stop, start the truck, set the parking brake, chock the wheels and have a buddy hold the brake so the tuck does not roll. Have your buddy put in gear if an auto, and turn on the air conditioning. Pop the hood, put on some ear muffs and adjust the idle to specification.
You can do it with out a buddy, if you trust your parking brake, but I don't recommend it. It's hard to drive your truck from under the hood!:s:
