Default Torque specs

Often we spend an extra hour on something checking torque specs and verifying our work. Today a customer that attempted a governor lever adjustment brought his truck in with a "run away" condition. He didn't immediately inform that he had been in the pump and after prying a bit he said he had adjusted the fuel screw. It turned out he had adjusted the governor lever, without loctite or correct torque the adjustment screw backed out and totaled the governor assembly. As with any runaway, if the linkage is good we move right to governor assembly and the photo below is what we found. Remember to check check and recheck any internal items in your pump, even if it takes extra time.
