right now i have a reg cab long bed 1996 dodge cummins with a 47re trans on its way out. my plans are putting a 1998 ext cab and short bed on my frame. i also am planning on putting a nv4500 or nv5600 in it, idk what one sbetter. but i also want to put some bigger injectors and a bigger turbo. I can buy a whole 1998 ram 1500 for 1000 bucks in mint shape. its 2wd but it doesnt really matter. I also found a whole nv4500 kit for 3200 dollars including everything i need. so what can i get out of my auto and transfer case, the 1500 360 and trans and stuff. what total will i have to come up with? is it even worth it? i want to make a bad *** truck. i build custom stuff for a living so its not that bad. maybe a weekend to change bodys, and 2 or 3 days to convert it.
