Crank Sensor

I am currently having a problem and thoght it would be an easy fix. A little history on what the truck has been doing. For the last two months my tach would temporarily not work or bounce around eraticly. This would last only a few minuets and it may not do it agin for a month. This last week it stopped working completely and every once in awhile it would work for a second then back to zero. In the past my trans shifted ok. This week it wont shift into o/d ,drives like its got half the power, and leaks trans fluid on the barn floor. The way i understand is the crank sensor controls a number of things. So im asumming thats why my trans isnt working correctly. Since this has been going on this week my pyro guage is getting hung at 600 and stays there. when the tach trys to work so does the guage. Idk if the guage is faulty or this goes along with the other problems. Also the abs light and e-brake lights come on for a minuet and then go off. The truck was charging correctly while all these problems were present. So from what i have researched it all lead to a crank sensor. I replaced the sensor, gapped it to specs, and still no tach and now my alternator is not charging. Where as before atleast it was charging. What my question is, could i have got a faulty sensor or do i need to check elsewhere for the problem? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
