banks stuff

Has anyone installed any Banks equiptment on thier 12 valve and what were your results??Thanks. I have not installed any upgrades yet with the exception of a 4 inch turbo back exhaust system and still ponderin future upgrades. Not wanting to make stupid investments. Thanks much for the help.

What Banks parts are you looking to add? The first few things I would get are gauges, a quality built shift kit, and at least a billet single disk converter. Upgrading the stock auto is one of the best investments you can make imo.

My new 4 inch exhaust really blows. LOL. Big increase in performance. Tranny got an unexpected pump and shifts much better. Will be upgrading tranny and gauges R next.
As far as Banks stuff, I thought the bighead sounded good until I read on the Quick turbo. It reads to deliver massive torque from idle. Is this true? CAI is on the list also.

:hellox: I installed the BANKS POWER-PACK on my 1996 Ram 2500 about 10 years ago. I am pleased with the results. I knew doing this would damage the stock auto trans, but after slipping the torque converter and transmission, I had a beefed up trans and torque converter installed. I have put over 178,000 KM on the truck since with no problems. A good majority of the miles were pulling our 10,300 pound fifth wheel. :tu:

Thanks Dallas Flywheels for the input. I am concerned that the twin ram intake does not talk about the stock air charge heater. How does the engine start in cold weather?
Did the Banks turbine housing utilize the stock turbo impeller? Did you do the tranny work, if so how hard was the upgrade?? Thanks much for the input, it will help me make the upgrade decisions. I love my newly purchased 1998 cummins w350 4X4 clubcab and feel it will be a solid investment for years of service with the right improvements.:c:

the twin ram has a harness with it that splits the two grid heaters so theres one under each side, from the factory these are stacked and look like one, :c:

That sounds great. The intake system is huge and my next hurdle. Thanks for the info, much appreciated. I will be watchin for your build up photos.
