47re overdrive housing question
 

im making my 47re 2wd into 4wd, and i was woundering if i could buy the housing DODGE JEEP 44RE 46RE 47RE OVERDRIVE HOUSING 4X4 ADAPTER | eBay
then put all my guts in it, or do i need to find the 4wd guts

im pretty sure you will at least need a different output shaft, get on dacco.com and see if the stuff in the od housing is different between 4x4 and 2x4, make sure you get a t-case off an auto, the manuals have a bigger input shaft, i have a bunch of od parts for an rh some of them will work in the re but you will need an re output shaft, they are shorter than the rh shafts, i have a connection on parts let me know if you need anything

thanks for that info! i just found a website to sell a o/d unit for 250! sounds good to me, that takes care of the tranny im going to keep my auto till i save more money for a built one, but now..manual t-cases are diffrent then autos? because this parts truck has a manual t-case, im sure it wont be to hard to find someone who would be willing to swap but good to know now.
