sources for high torque starters
 
My starter is on its last legs.I would like to replace it with a mean greenhigh torque one but online they go for about $400, which i can afford.does anyone have any good reviews on other brands?my brother has a mean green one on his 7.3 and loves it.let me know what you guys have to say.

Fostertruck.com has some good dodge stuff. I have their starter in my truck along with the relay kit, seems pretty dam good to me.

Yeah, LarryB's stuff is the way to go. You're not going to find a better starter for your truck at a better price, that's for sure. When my starter went out, the dealer wanted over $900 for a reman one from them. No thanks.

Rockauto.com. Reman denso starter. 200 Just did this 2 days ago wow what a difference Also the reman denso is a whole new starter with a old housing that's shined up and painted

If you do go the rockauto route, I would still recommend getting the LarryB's starter contacts/plunger.
