hey i just got a 95 12 valve 4x4 auto from my dad, figured id join a forum that knows diesel motors. My truck has 188k on it its pretty stock i think the fuel pumps turned up and it has a 6 inch stack. i have a few questions that need some good opinions from yall.
1.My Fuel filter is leaking fuel so i got a new one but they dont have the drain valve thing on them just an open space, do i need to purchase a separate attachment or should the fuel filter have the drain cap on it?
2.The person before me never changed the tranny fluid and he said it needs a tranny filter should this be the first thing i invest in doing?
3.I was told it needed an alignment cause it pulls to the right pretty good and the tires are wearing unevenly but when i had my dads friend look at it he said it needs alot of work it doesn't seem that bad and he didn't get into details but im just gonna baby it around till i can get the money to fix the front end unless all it needs is an alignment

ANY INFO IS APPRECIATED OR JUST LIST IN PRIORITY WHAT SHOULD BE TAKEN CARE OF FIRST THANK YOU VERY MUCH

On your front end, I'd check the ball joints and track bar first. The track bar isn't hard to replace/fix but if it's the joints your will need a shop for them unless your got your own press.
As far as the fuel filter, I know the 24v come with everything if you get it from a dodge house, not sure about the 12v.
Tranny filter shouldn't be too terrible, simply drain and unbolt the pan, I believe the filter itself is held by a bolt or two, replace with the new one and add some sealant(?) for the pan.
I'm positive someone with more detailed knowledge about your p/u will come along man. Welcome to DB! :c:

i had to reuse my little plastic fuel primer jobby the filter came with a new o-ring.

dont mess around with a shot front end its just money spend that not your life.
gotta have brakes and steering dont put that off

tranny filter is easy but why is the filter dirty???? is the tranny slipping? does the fluid smell burnt/discolored. it doesnt need a new filter unless something is going wrong in the tranny? TC? is it a stock transmission?

steering first "death wobble" is a major problem on 12 &24s and get a steering stabilizer so it dont go into wobble. then defiantly the trans filter/fluid! try to tighten the bands to spec while your under there and as fot the fuel filter i dont think there is a drain for 12v mine my dads and uncles dont have em:tu:
