The big picture:
D-Max.....yes it's fast, and it costs 4X more than a 12v. You can't really work on it. It is covered with computer and smog crap. In most places you have to smog it. If something major happens to the engine or tranny it is big big money to repair.
12v Dodge......Cheap to own, will pull a big trailer, I can fix almost anything that can happen to it. I don't have to smog it, (California). I only pay around $275 for registration. Insurance is cheap. It can sit in the driveway forever and not have get a sticky turbo.
To compare a D-Max to a 12v is like saying a Harley will run with a Hayabusa if you talk sport bikes, or like a Porsche to a John Deer.
