Help

i have a 96 cummins 12 valve and just put bigger injectors in it and it seems to have less power it smokes alot tho the fuel plate is all the way forward and the star wheel is all the way forward and i only have 20 pounds of boost any suggestions?

You might be "putting the fire out" so to speak. Try bringing the plate back some and tuning the AFC and see what that gets you.

ok i will try that that

how can i get more boost?

You can get an adjustable boost elbow. People will probably tell you just to plug the wastgate, but you end up pushing the stock turbo out of it's map and just makes hot air at too high of a boost level.

ok adjusting the star wheel helped a little bit but it still seems like it dont have the power it should

what size of injectors did u go with? is your boost line on the back of the afc tight? is the smoke white, blue, or black?

cumminsalltheway 08-06-2011 01:41 PM

215s and the boost line is tight and the smoke is black

are you sure you have no tears in your intercooler boots? strange that it was fine before the injector swap. i guess u could put your old one back in and have the 215 pop tested. just a thought.
