Bleeding the injection pump

Just put in a fuel pressure gauge and some 181 DV's in my 175hp pump. Now it won't prime up and start. I got fuel to the banjo bolt where the fuel pressure gauge is plumbed in but nothing will come out of the DV holders. I had the number 2 line all the way off and 1, 3, 4, 5 cracked with the banjo tight and no sign of fuel. I tightened them all up and cracked the bolt that is the pressure regulator or what ever its called on the top of the pump and used the priming button and hear a small amount of air each time I pump it but not a drop of fuel. Left that cracked and cranked it over and still nothing from there either.

What's the deal? The DV's are in the right way and they moved nicely in their holders so nothing should be hung up there.

It is probably also notable that I just installed a #100 plate at the same time. Before it had a #5. I also have checked the fuel shutoff solenoid and it has power to it. I am pretty certain it didn't just stop working. I also have the tranny out of the truck right now so if someone knows if the vacuum lines have anything to do with the fuel which I didn't think they do then I have an answer as long as someone lets me know. I won't be able to have the tranny back in for a week or two since the clutch got sent off to Southbend.

With the 181 DV's is the wider part supposed to be on top or bottom?

Still having trouble bleeding system

Put back my original DV's and now the tranny is back in and I am needing to figure this bleeding issue out so please help.

I have all 6 lines off the pump and I get fuel to the banjo where I put the new pressure gauge in. I can't get ANYTHING to come out of any of the six cylinders at the pump. How could I force fuel into the pump/manually prime it? When I pump the black button that is supposed to prime it, it seems to push then suck the fuel back at least out of the clear line I have for the pressure gauge. Do I need to put all six lines back on and crack just one and crank over the motor or what?

Thanks
