it will work. does the nv5600 come with the T-case? if not u will need to get a t-case input that will work with the 5600. or an output shaft for the 5600. your rear drive shaft will need lenghtened and front will need shortened iirc. u will need the clutch pedal, hydro, flywheel, and clutch for a 5600.

Thanks for the info mine is a 2wd though but do you know anything about the p pump problem because I have heard thst the auto and standards have different pumps and turbos

The pump is probabley less hp but wont affect tranny swap. the manual truck had a 215 hp pump, you have i think a 160 hp pump, but after you change fuel plate it is not much diffrent.

how much does it cost to get all that work done to the drive shafts though??
:humm:

its not costing me a thing i got a guy with one that will work and he is giving it to me

the 5600s aren't as tough as 4500s just a thought

I put an 04.5 NV5600 in my 94.

Go to the wrecking yard and get a 2000-2002 transmission crossmember. It will have the provisions for the auto, 5 and 6 speed to mount. Its much bigger than the stock crossmember you have now, but bolts right in.
Use the 3rd gen plate on the transmission, and get a 5 speed mount. The auto mount may work, but I don't know. I had a 5 speed, so I just used that mount.
As far as the pump goes don't worry about it. You'll remove the throttle valve linkage from the pump to the transmission and remove the tps. Other than that the pump doesn't care what transmission is in it. The pumps were just different stock in relation to the transmission. 94/95 were 160hp auto 175hp 5 speed, 96-98 were 180hp auto 215hp 5 speed.
You may need to get a 5speed PCM or have yours flashed as a stick, without the auto it may get kinda ticked off........
You'll need to either swap the transmission harness for a manual transmission one or build the harness out to work with your new transmission. If you want reverse lights.......

I appreciate it diesel nut I'm still waiting on a few things before I attempt the swap but as fsr as the wiring I'm msjoring in electrical engineering lol so Im just gonna cut and splice lol
