The sensor is above the harmonic balancer on the front of the motor.

I JUST PRICED IT 66 BUCKS BUT TIS THERE A WAY TO MAKE SURE ITS THAT CUS I DONT THINK THEY WILL LET ME RETURN IT IF ITS NOT THE PROBLEM

I would check the wiring going to it, also take a look at the sensor itself to see if it looks messed up. The gap between it and the harmonic balancer is supposed to be 0.050", so I would check that too. Other than that, I'm not sure of any other tests that you can run to see if it's bad. I'll check the FSM. Oh, also might not be a bad idea to check your ground cables. Make sure they're clean and tight.

I checked it and can't find anything about the sensor, so I would check out what I said before and go from there. :tu:

ok i got everything back on ,..new steering box an crank sensor now im waiten on batt to charge back up for i can c what happen :w2:

I doubt it. Did you check your grounds? The next logical thing would be the PCM.

WAS THE SENSOR...CHANGED IT AN WORKED FINE NOW I HAVE AN OTHER PROBLEM...IM TRIEN TO REBUILD MY TRANNY WHICH IS AN NV4500 BUT I TOOK MOST OF IT APART AN CANT GET THE GEARS OUT NEED HELP...AN CAN NOT FIND ANYTHING ON HOW

hey guys im in the same boat as adrain... iv got a 97 that i swapped moters in and nothing works... no tach no speedo no charge no ac... i think my buddie hooked a wire or to up back works on start up but i got that fixed but still no tach speedo or charge or ac.. any ideas? i thinking its my pc... how much and where do i get one?
