Default Truck refuses to stay running at idle

Truck refuses to stay running during an idle. I have to keep my foot on the pedal to keep it above 1k rpms, if not it stumbles way low and shuts off. Also when it starts I have to give it alot of pedal and it white smokes. running down the road its fine but when it comes to stopping the truck just shuts down. I have a raptor 150 I have out in place of the stock lift pump, and also installed a fuel pressure guage which always reads between 20-25lbs. Any help is greatly appreciatedm I have been trying to figure out whats wrong with it for the last week and am failing. Thanks guys!

Gsk spring broken? Or possibly the idle lock nut came loose and the bolt backed out?

My hard start/no start/white smoke problem came on gradually over several months. I would have to add some pedal to get it to fire. Lots of white smoke. It got harder to get it to fire and smooth out. Then it would fire and die. Would not start. There was an air leak in the fuel preheater. I deleted the preheater and re-installed the pre-filter screen. After purging the air and getting it started it has been starting perfect ever since. Hope that helps.

mine did the same thing.... had to get the injection pump rebuildt.... some metal got into the pump and messed everything up... its not cheap. it would be cheaper to find a used p7100 and throw it in there.
