97 ram 2500 tranny troubles

hi guy's new here and new to diesels. my question is my tranny kicks in and out of lockup and revs like 2200 rpm's at 50-60 mph for a while before it finally starts to lockup then kicks out again. any info will be greatly appreciated.:humm:
