68RFE in a 12 Valve???
Is it possible to put a 68RFE 6 speed auto transmission in a 12v truck? I know the bolt pattern is different but is there and adapter plate to bolt to the back of the engine? and is there a stand alone TCU out in the market for a project such as this??
:w2:A 6 Speed Auto 12 Valve would be an awesome build. |
I'm waiting for suncoast to work the bugs out of their stand alone TCM. They have it running in their pulling truck right now.
I'm wanting it for behind my CR 5.9. |

i think the bell housing from a 6.7 should bolt right to the 5.9, i thought of this for awhile but conclude i would rather do a gear vender unit, i havent priced everything out but that should be cheap, easier, and better cause a gear vender would make our 4speeds into 8speeds

Back before I just built my 47RE I talked to Suncoast about the 68RFE in my 01. He said he was just starting to test it in a truck and was working quite well. Thats been a year ago so they should be coming along pretty well by now.
