I am no expert but the 98.5 - 02 trucks had the 24v so I don't know if that intake will fit on a 12v, maybe someone who knows will step in here

i realize that but some intake elbows say fits 94-02, but many say 94-98/98.5-02 so im just curious if they have the same mounting, or if theres a reason i shouldnt run a 24v intake horn on my 12v

spend your money on better upgrades as the intake elbows do not really do much for the 12 valve.

To answer all of your questions.

The Banks twin ram is a very nice piece. (Please don' tell anyone I said this) The reason I like it is the fact that it gets more air to the #5 and 6 cylinders which tend to run hotter than the rest due to the fact that the intake elbow is located more towards the front of the engine and by the time coolant makes it's way to the rear of the engine it has already gotten pretty hot.

That's what I like about it, what I don't like about it is how much of a pain in the butt it is to install, and the price is ridiculous.

That being said, the 24 valve intake elbow will not work as a direct bolt on for you truck because the 24 valve ones sit higher up so your intercooler pipe will not reach the boot.

Some 12 valves have the heater grid pedestal molded into the intake tray cover, some of them have a removable heater grid pedestal. If yours is removable you could delete that and make a 24 valve elbow work but it does hit the fuel lines. Which I don't really like.

Check out these bad boys.

CFM+ 10-001-305 Intake Elbow w/3 ports for 94-98 Dodge 5.9L 12v Cummins - Red Fi

It is a 24 valve elbow but comes with a longer intercooler pipe. Probably the best bang for you buck unless you find a homemade style one. I know they are floating around on the internet somewhere. And they looked nice, I just can't remember who makes them.

x2 on the CFM+,i thought you were talking about intake system not manifold.the cfm is (in my oipiuon)one the best intake manifolds out there & you can order them pre-tapped for meth injection if ya want

I my self like the twin ram only because it gets air to the back cylinders. Other than that I wouldnt spend money on an intake unless i had money falling out of my pockets.
