Driving Habits
I read in geno's garage when I bought my truck last year that shutting the truck off when its still cold is hard on diesels. Ive followed that rule religiously always making sure the temp gauge is right at 190 and also waiting about 30 seconds before shut off to let my turbo cool. Ive had alot of people tell me Im paranoid and full of crap about this. Am i right or not and also Id like to hear some more tips on keepin some longevity in my old 12 valve. thanks:c:

yer doin good there bud, always do a cool down especially when towing , I use my EGT gauge to monitor temps on shutdown
never shut down with the ac running, unload the compressor first by going to vent |
awesome, yeah I need this truck to last a while.

same thing when starting up, I generally dont move till the glycol nedel starts to move up then when I do I am easy till she gets to full temps
