Studders between 1000 an 1400rpm

My 94 12 vlave has #100 fuel plate ddp 140 injectors stock turbo and a 4 inch turbo back exhaust. It seems to studder between 1000 an 1400 like it wants to stall almost. Also when i get off the highway it seems like it has a miss at idle. Any input oh also the pump hasnt been tuned to my knowledge.

check the fuel pressure, whens the last time u changed the fuel filter?

brownie12valve06 03-15-2011 06:55 PM

just changed the filter 2 days ago.

my guess was with my 140 injectors i need to upgrade my delivery valves but wasnt sure

time for a lift pump?

Is it an auto?

I would say no on delivery valves. I would check your timing and fuel pressure.

Its a manual an from what ive read with how big my injectors are my guess is delivery valves. ounce you get into the throttle the truck runs fine its on the low end that im having problems.I dont have enough clearance to let the more fuel through at lower rpm with lower fuel pressure that explains why when the fuel pressure rises it runs better because its pushing the fuel into the pump better. Im new to this stuff so im no expert though.

huh? clearance :humm: r u just bogging the truck? if its doing it at idle u need to check ur fuel pressure with a gauge, if not fuel pressure then check timing but i would bet its a fuel pressure problem.. lift pump maybe?

Like I said. Check fuel pressure and timing. There is no reason that delivery valves will cause it to studder. You have other issues somewhere i would think. But like you stated I am also no expert so I could be wrong.
