Too big Injetors?

Alright my 94 12 valve has DDP 140 injectors in it witha stock turbo. Ive got an afe stage 2 intake an four inch down pipe an a #100 fuel plate other than that its stock. DDp says that a 66mm turbo is the smallest to run with those injectors. My trucks lower rpm tends to break up. You cant really up shift in to a higher gear an drive down the road at a low rpm just cruising. My guess was the injectors are too big. Any input would help. They were already in the truck when I bought it.

those are really big for the stock turbo haha im suprised it hasnt blown yet, and you probably can get it really really hot haha

Is there such a thing as too big?? J/K. I agree those are big for a stocker.

You could plate the truck back some and see if it fixes it.

ive got a lot more fuel than that with a stock turbo, it can get hot and extremely smokey but its all controlled with ur foot

lol, those with some full cuts maybe. my stocker cleared up the "140's" to almost nothing, with no plate. Just make sure your AFC is tuned or you'll run too rich and "put out the fire," kill your spool.

Stock delivery vaines. Im gonna try an sell them an get something smaller maybe even just get stock ones an push the plate all the way forward. Be easier on fuel that way.

BRE 03-14-2011 05:25 PM

Your gonna sell your 140's?
