rack1234 03-10-2011 06:30 AM

I have a 05 auto, and I have the smarty on SW#3, and I still only get 17.9 to 18.3 depending on how much highway travel I do. I honestly thought it would get better, but doesnt look like it.:dang:

Billy D 03-10-2011 06:54 AM

Goldie is awsome:tu: She's getting about 22 mpg(GPS app on my EVO) since it's cold. I'm pretty much highway.:rocking:

Hummin Cummins 03-10-2011 07:09 AM

I made 16.1 with my 2010 dually running 80-85 on a 1400 mile run. I had 1 snowmobile hanging out the box.

So much depends on speed and wind. If I drive 60 with no wind I am in the 20 mpg range If I drive 80 in a 20 mph head wind I am in the13.5-14 range Thats what I have been getting this winter. I got my truck last fall and when I didn't have any miles on it I was in the 12-14 range.

RAW 03-10-2011 07:45 AM

I made a 350 mile run last year, and was just shy of 25MPG, all hiway. That was before the compounds, smarty, and new trans.

seaurchin1969 03-10-2011 10:19 AM

I was averaging 17.5 combined driving around my house, since smarty on #3 I have been averaging 21 +/- a few tenths. thats all 65mph or less to keep the rpm below 2k and coasting down off ramps. also all via lie-o-meter. But I figure an improvement on the lie-o-meter is an improvement in actual milage.

torqctd 03-10-2011 02:21 PM

23-24 highway @ 1800 RPM ( about 65 MPH).

seaurchin1969 03-10-2011 03:49 PM

for the lie-o-meter so much depends on accelerating, and idle time at lights or just to run inside the house. I can reset on the highwat and get 22-24 till I get off and have to accelerate up the on ramp or something and that kills the average.

skeet615 03-10-2011 09:22 PM

I get around 25 on the highway when running 65 mph

bluedieselram 03-11-2011 12:02 PM

i get 24.7 in my 12valve about 17 in the 04 & before i totaled it about 13 in the 6.7

Pyro690 03-12-2011 03:02 AM

Lately 16 with a lot of idle time. :td: Glad to see warmer temps commin. :c:

madmikeismad 03-12-2011 03:09 AM

12valve
stock: 13/18 summer
7in lift with 37's: 14 combined winter

BRE 03-12-2011 05:12 AM

14 or 15 tops for me... To much idle time. The most i have ever seen in mine is 19.5. I suspect some injectors will help this.

12Vdodge 03-15-2011 08:49 AM

Winter:13-15 combined.

Summer: 23 highway, 16-18 around town.
Im hoping the 5 speed swap, a set of injectors, pump work, and timing will give me a few more.

rallyit67 03-15-2011 11:34 PM

14 combined

Johnny Z 03-16-2011 07:08 AM

Winter time has sucked!!! 12-15 mostly around town and where I get my fuel. If I use Sams Club fuel I get crappy mileage, my old girl just hates it! If I use BP fuel, lately driving combo miles, approx 17-18, hand calcs. If I can stay under 60 on the highway, I have had runs of @ 22 mpg in the summer. Always looking for more.

deerefanatic 03-24-2011 08:51 AM

Hey 12Vdodge, 5 speed ain't gonna do much for you... I *can* get 18.2 on the highway doin 60 ish, but that's the BEST I've ever seen... I've also logged 12.2 pullin the gooseneck horse trailer... But, DD, it's all over the map.... Sometimes good, sometimes aweful....

Having 4.10's really sucks....

Dieselfunohio 03-24-2011 11:59 AM

I get about 17. and that's doing a lot of idling in the morning and night to and from work. Mostly highway and I'm lowering my gears from 4.10 to 3.55 and see what that does with the 4k gsk

12Vdodge 03-28-2011 07:53 AM

Eh....well one can hope. I can imagine the 4.10's really kill the highway fuel economy....

davo79 03-28-2011 11:26 AM

With my rig weighing in at close to 10 k I get between 16 and 20 highway depending on how heavy my boot is that day but I'm loaded all the time welding rigs ain't light the truck in my sign has seen 25 but only when its raining

91 12valve 03-29-2011 10:20 AM

i have a 97 and i average 18 on all side road driving with a little mild pump tuning

UNOH-KID 03-29-2011 09:44 PM
