Hey if you're still interested in the conversion NV4500.com sells adapters and has all the info you need for the NV4500. I have a first gen with nv4500 in my chevy. I know I shouldn't be in this thread. I was looking for p-pump info and saw your thread, figured i'd explain before I get run down. hope it helps

The case you need is the ford np205. has the correct drop and advanced adapters makes the adapter to go to the five speed.

Yep, Ford NP205 is what you need if youre gonna do it. My buddies is a 1978 model out of a 3/4 or 1 ton...

does anybody have information on adapting a np205 to the 47rh? the tcase is from an 84 chevy i think its the 32 spline and is a passenger drop. idk what spline count or bolt pattern the mopar is but my tcase is a six bolt round patter from a th400.

even if the 241 is stronger i like the 205. I have had 5 dodges with 241s and all will jump out of gear when runing on engine compression going down long very steep hill in low range and when this happens it is very hard to get truck stoped with 15,000 pound trailer. i have grown to dislike the 241. i go up and down a 8 mile 15deg grade every week and when that transfer goes bang you are like a rocket.

I have similar problems with my 241 and im also lokking to do a 205 swap. Its friggin annoying trying to drive in the snow with it constantly disengaging too i hate it
