overflow valve install

so it appears you need to grind off some of the intake manifold to get the valve out as it looks like not enough room to un thread. true or false? plus do you need to pump the lift pump after install? thanks and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!

no need to grind the head and no pumping the fuel pump

Yeah just slide it out. you gotta tug on the line a little bit, but it comes right out. hold onto that bottom washer! unless you have replacements (recommended)

The first time I did it, I pulled the intake manifold and loosened the 10mm retaining bolt/clip below it (about halfway back the pump) thinking it would loosen up the line a lil bit, but it didn't make any difference, it's a hard line, so don't waste your time doing that. Just FYI...

i just replaced mine, its a simple 10 minute job if you are wrench searching, main thing is if you dont have replacement washers DONT LOSE THEM,it took me ten minutes to do it after i gave up looking for a wrench and just grabbed an adjustable.

i loosend it grabbed the bottom washer, then moved the line up and pulled the thing right out, then put the other one in slid the washer on and stick it in and tightend it down.

didnt fix my starting problem though. but i hope it fixes whatever problem your having.

its always a good idea to have 14mm sealing washers on hand before doing anything with the fuel system
