518 Vs 618 Guru's?

Wanting to do a 12v swap and I'm finding some low mileage pre-Ram trucks but no '94 up 12v trucks. So what are the differences/advantages that the 47 trans has over the 46?

a 46 wont take it if u make any power at all. the 47 has more clutches in the drums and i think more planet gears. also an old 518 wont have converter lock. also be aware of 47rh vs. 47re u MUST have a computer and associated wiring/sensors to use a 47re. the e makes is electronic regulated. the rh has a mechanical governor to control line pressure. the only thing it needs electricity for is to turn on OD and lockup.

where's the year split between rh and re?

95-96 range. 96 i think are all re but im not sure if any 95 were or not

94 and 95 had the rh, some late 95 many have gotten the re but not completely sure, just look for a 3 pin connector and and not the 7 pin, i know a guy who may have a rh case and most of the parts you need for it
