Fuel Filter Replacement

What is the part number for the fuel filter on a 95 12v? and is there 2 filters? if so where are they located?

Johnny Cetane 11-13-2007 10:52 AM

Wix PN is 33402 for your truck and that's what I use. The fuel filter is located just to the passenger of and slightly below the brake booster.

Rough weekend Johnny? What kind of Cummins do you have? The fuel filter and prefilter is on the drivers side of the block.

Take another look at what I wrote. You're not reading it correctly.

looks like same location as the 24v, is it the the same filter?

Thanks fellas

Dr. Evil 11-13-2007 05:39 PM

No...its not the same as the 24V...the filter is further in...I dont know enough about the 95's to give you specifics...but, I believe that is a spin on filter which is different than the later ones.

After Johnny gets off work and wakes up - he will probably be able to fill you in.

The fuel filter is a spin on and is a real PITA to change for me. I have to fish my arm in and come up underneath it. Wouldn't be so bad if the brake crap wasn't in the way. Usually spill fuel all over the place.

Oh and make sure you unplug the WiF sensor and rip that stupid little hose of if it's still there.

Monster Truck 11-13-2007 08:21 PM

Why unplug the wif sensor? is the primer bulb located on the filter housing as well?

ndurbin 11-13-2007 08:24 PM

Because the wiring gets all wrapped up and around the filter wrench if you have to use one to loosen it. Been there done that one to many times.

No, the primer is down on the the lift pump. Sawed off broom handle comes in handy to prime it so ya don't got to reach down in there.
