3rd Gen Track Bar
Ive always heard about a 3rd gen track bar conversion but never looked into it. Is there a kit out there or something?

i think you just have to drill out where your old track bar was to fit the larger bolt.
you might ask Doug newenglandturbodieselpower.com he did the conversion. i thought about it the decided against it and went with a stock track bar |

Thanks, I think Im just going to pick up a stock one for now and do the conversion next time it fails.

Do NOT waste youre money on a stock track bar. You dont need to do third third gen conversion you just need to get yourself a good bar:

And from what I found nobody makes a bar for the early 94s' so your stuck with the stock bar or the Solid Steel Conversion Kit. I went with the solid steel 3rd gen kit w/ adjustable track bar and haven't regretted it. Did have some problems getting everything lined up (axle wanted to sit off-center). Bracket bolts up w/o any problems. They recommend using the bushing but again they don't supply one for the smaller bolt trucks and I priced one getting made and decided it could live w/o it. |
