As in more power? No... Take the plate out and grind it into a number 10 and see what that does for ya

How do you grind the plate and will it hurt it

Red_Rattler 11-23-2010 08:12 AM

You need to do some searches and alot of reading! Start here https://www.dieselbombers.com/5-9l-1...-12-valve.html

Also you'll want to get at least an egt gauge in ur rig b4 u mod it any further! Also has the kdp been done yet? If not search kdp for alot of good info...

Search Killer dowl Pin

x2 on the dowel pin. You wont be happy if it decides to exit the block via your timing cover.

Thanks 4 the pic that helps but the smoke screw would it hurt the motor

Red_Rattler 11-23-2010 03:43 PM

All it does is add low boost fueling... Hence the name "smoke" screw. It has nothing to do with adding over all useful power. Just smoke and egts climb sooner and faster. Kind of the opposite of what u want when your towing.
