Radio issue please help!

Alright guys this has been going on for a while now, im having a big problem with my radio staying on, its a pioneer and i know its not the radio its self causing the issue, The radio used to turn off and turn back on whenever i turned it up loud, then it went to the point where it wouldnt work at all inless it was raining or snowing outside, now it dont work at all most of the time regardless, Now when i turn it on it just clicks on and off, on and off, and sometimes i can get it to stay on for a few seconds ive noticed that when i turn it on at first the face plate lettering will be real bright and then it slowly fades and then shuts off, ive also noticed that if i let off the gas pedal it turns off and on and if i put my foot back on the gas it will come back on sometimes, ive checked the voltage to the back of the cd player and its getting 12 and i also have new batteries and have cleaned the terminals, this issue seems very odd to me and im sorry if i have confused you, basically what im trying to say is that it used to work when there was alot of moisture outside and now it has gotten to the point that it wont work at all most of the time regardless if there is moisture or not, i havent had a radio for about a year now and its really starting to get on my nerves! Any help or advice is appreciated thanks! :argh: :scare2:

try a new ground wire from body ground to the radio, check your body ground wires also :humm:

i was also going to say check your ground but since that has been coverd if that does not work take the radio out and put it on your battery with just the power and ground and see if it works like that.

make sure to check your constant power and your keyed power maybe one of those has a short

that reminds me if you do the direct battery test your going to have 2 wires (constant and keyed) going to positive and one to neg
