I dont mean to be mean. But your best bet is probably sale the truck and get a auto truck and sale the stock auto and put in the billet trans you were talkin about. Because its like kazairl said you need time, patience, money and if you do even decide to go ahead and try it. Your gonna need to run alot of wires and i dont know how you are with electrical but i couldnt do it just because i hate electrical work. but yea your best bet is to sale it and buy a auto truck that already has all the wires you need.

do you have a sensor on the top center of your rear diff, iff so where are the wires going when they leave the diff.

That would be the rear speed sensor.

The nice thing about having a donor truck is you can swap the wiring harnesses.

Wouldnt you have too wire it in the computer?

You mean open the computer and rewire it? No. You just swap the PCMs.

I would agree that it will be less work to sell the truck and buy one with an auto. But depending on what the local market is, It may or may not be financially practical.

i am from michigan also. and i am doing the same swap. if you need any information that i can help you with i would be glad to help. i am actually in THE MIDDLE of doing this process right now and the information that i have is that the 3 wire connector that goes into the tranny and not the safety switch but the three wire that pluggs into the top... the middle wire that goes into the plug has to be hooked to a 12v ignition wire, the next plug to the front or the left side is for the overdrive and that wire has to be grounded out. the guy that i spoke with used an old dimmer switch for headlights on the floor under the e-brake. the wire to the rear or the right is for the torque convertor lockup. that needs to be grounded out also, but he hooked it to his brake relay and when he hit the brake it broke the connection and unlocked it. i know its alot of information but if i can help with anything let me know i am from around adrian MI. 517-425-2205 its Lance
