Default what the sound mean?

i start my truck and i give it full throttle it only revs to 2000 rpms and sounds like its missing. i recorder it on my phone but dont know if i can post on here, you could give me your cell number and i can txt you the recording or a video of it if that would help

did u ever bump ur timing? how bout gov springs?

is it blowin white smoke when it does it?

no i didnt never messed with gov springs either. ya it white smokes

do you have a fuel pressure gauge? if so whats your fuel pressure at. if not, this is why we get them. sounds like a lift pump not being able to supply under load

When you say that you "start the truck and give it full throttle..." does that mean that you are starting it and instantly stabbing the pedal? I don't care what motor you're doing that to (if you are at all)
it certainly isn't a good thing to do. No/low oil pressure, cold cylinders, etc... Bad news.

If this isn't the case, well then I don't know what your problem is. But I think the previous posters have good answers.

i just put new lift pump on and fuel filter hoping that would fix it but didn't. no i don't start it full throttle and it does it warm or cold. no i don't have fuel pressure gauge how could i check the pressure or take to a shop?

99% sure you timing is way off like mine was... Mine was at 5* when it was checked

When Id start it up first thing in the morn it would sart and idle no prob, give it a couple rpm fine but like you said one it got towards 2k it would have a bad miss and the truck would sputter and shake pop and bang and blow copious amouts of white smoke. Warmed up it was better but it def didnt have any power past 2k
