Mike - how many volts are you getting at the battery terminals after the truck is warm and the heater grids have quit??

You may be able to wire in an external voltage regulator if needed.

im not sure ill check tommorow for voltage.what should it be at?is it possible that the gap for the cps is effecting anything?:humm:

Everything in the cluster is electronic, no cables :c:

i believe the regulator is inside the pcm, and if the regulator isnt working, the alternator wont charge. if my regulator is unplugged, even if the alternator is turning and hooked up to the battery, it wont charge. the external regulator isnt too terribly hard to wire
