The '96 12v I'm pulling apart has this attached to the lift pump, I'm assuming it is an electric lift pump but I can't find any info on it and I want to know if I should be worried that the wire is broken. I'm going to reattach the wire but, if it is a lift pump could it have damaged the injection pump if it wasn't working?

Thanks

It's the fuel heater, also the bottom screws off and there's a strainer screen in there. It's a mechanical pump :c:

Being in Canada you'll probably want to fix the wire to keep your fuel from gelling in the winter, if you were in the southern USA or somewhere else warm I would say don't worry about it. :c:

Awesome, thanks for letting me know, I thought these engines just had mechanical lift pumps but I just wanted to make sure.:c::jump::tu:
