Help 12V Misfiring ????

Hey Help meeeee. I'm new to Diesels so I'm kind lost. My truck is a 1995 2500 5.9 Turbo with a auto...... Mods so far....KDP fixed/Ground fuel plate/Bigger injectors/Adjustable Fuel regulator on pump.Cat-Muffler Delete.

Ok here's the deal Before I changed the injectors it seemed like it was missing at like 1800 Rpm when you would power it up. When it hits over drive it just bucks like crazy. ANNOYING AS HELL. If you tromp on it while sitting in neutral it will blow white smoke after the Black clears up. (I'm a gas engine guy so i'm kinda lost. It is acting when you stomp it like the secondaries are coming in to fast and floods the engine ) Just for reference.....which leads me to believe its a fuel problem. Pump? Delivery Valves? It idles smooth as hell. I have another truck to pull the pump from but I don't want to do this for nothing.......

Thanks Dan

excessive white smoke could be a bad injector a blown head gasket or your pump timing

i would check the timing.. bump it to about 15 or 16 for the white smoke problem. as for the bucking maybe u should check the tv cable, i have a manual so i dnt no if this would do it or not but my buddys truck bucked bc the cable was out of adjustment

Thanks, I don't think it's a head gasket. Oils good Antifreeze good. It runs too smooth also.... I think it is running out of fuel. If i just sit still in neutral it will black smoke the first time to floor the second time it throws out white. There is no smoke at idle. I changed injectors ...Changed fuel pressure valve. I still have same problem. Lift Pump? Delivery valves? Bad p7100?

drill n tap the banjo bolt for a fuel pressure gauge

Im from New Stanton Pa 15672.. And I am going to check my fuel pressure. I dont have timing tools yet....LOL

Slipped timing or fuel pressure - like the others had said. Possibly the overflow valve. Just looked at your mods - what do you mean by "Adjustable Fuel regulator on pump"?? Is that one of the adjustable overflow valves??

FYI, P-7100's rarely (if ever) go bad.

Could be that overflow valve. Have you adjusted it? You probably should have a fuel pressure guage installed when you adjust it.

Drill and tap the inlet banjo bolt (1/8" npt). make sure you use a pressure snubber or needle valve (barely open) to dampen the pressure pulses from the P-7100.

Install should look like this:
