where can i put a mechanical gauge in temporarily to check fuel pressure?

anywhere in the fuel line closer to the engine the better. just go to a hardware store, get a brass T and get threaded barbed ends on 2 sides and get bushings to reduce down for a mechanical line on the other side.

i got all my stuff at napa for like 13 bucks

Install a permanent guage. Drill and tap the banjo bolt on the IP lnlet (1/8" npt)

10 to 38 ish. Depends on load. More load = more psi.
