i have a 89 cummins just lounging around and a 96 dodge with a motor that needs work. what are the differences interior wise. also will the intake horn from the 96 fir the non intercooled engine. does the head flow less?

 

the intake should bolt up and are you goin to ppump the 89 motor

 

the 96 has 7mm tips, different pistons than the 89

 

im guessing the head will flow less on the non intercooled engine. and i havent figured out yet if i will p-pump the engine. im planning on building the 96 motor and may leave the pump on it so i can tune the whole engine before i reinstall it.

 

i don't know for sure but the heads should flow the same

 

will the 89 injectors flow alot of fuel

 

no the 89 injectors are 160hp the 96 are 215hp
