Hard Spot in Throttle Linkage
Engine is a '97 from a Ram 3500 with a P-Pump. I know that it has been mod'ed some but I do not really know the details as I got it in its current state to drop into my truck.
At about 1/4 throttle, there is a hard spot to overcome before you can get to the rest of the travel. After that spot, it seems smooth. I disconnected all linkage to the arm and moving the arm by hand the problem persists. I am guessing something inside the pump needs a dab of lube but I have never been in one of these and do not really know where to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I really need this truck rolling soon. Thanks |
is you shutdown up when your moving the linkage?
if it is your gov arm contacts the afc at 1/4 throttle. |
