Project SLOBOAT P-pump conversion
I have 1 VE pumped 12 valve 1st gen that I am swapping in a >100,000 mile P-pumped motor into.
I need some pics and some info. My P7100 has a number of 3921922-c. Can anyone tell me what pump I have? I need the pics of the pump and cable hook-ups, it seems to be missing the aneroid(?).... that's the only thing I think could go in the hole there (I know, PICS!)
Can I run the newer stamped metal headgasket? I have one for a HO 2005, will it work?
I have a HE341 on the motor now, will it support 400+ HP? I'm hoping for twins in the future.
Just spotted a tranny from a 98 CTD, hoping I can get it. If not what other transmissions will work? I found a 47rh out of a 1/2 ton...could it be built with the CTD internals?
If I go to an auto (I have the gutbag now), who would I ask about the adapter for the auto trans?
I'm sure I'll have more questions as I go along, I look forward to you guys' answers and input!

i dont think that hg will work and a stock one would be just fine.
the pump numbers you need are on the plate behind the throttle linkage. (i believe its the last 3 numbers of the second line)
you will have to weld up a bracket and some custom linkage to make the the trottle, tps, and kick down cable all work, (if you going to use the tps or auto trans) its not too hard to build.
there is a shut off selanoid that bolts to the side of the afc housing and you will have to figure out how to wire that up to a 12v ingintion (it has a three wire conection)
as far which tranny you use, you will just have to find a bell housing for an auto or manual, i think the bell housing for the autos will interchange anywhere for 89 to 07 (or whenever dodge stopped using the 4speed and went to the 6 speed auto) the nv4500 and nv6500 use the same bell housing as well i think
idk about the turbo but i will take a stab at it, i think the he341 has a 62mm compressor wheel???? which should support 400hp, or i might have the turbo #s confused between the 5.9 and 6.7, is the he341 off the 5.9 or 6.7?

The He341 is of a pre 2004.5. 2004.5 and up was a HO motor and had the HE351. I wanted the latter, the 341 was all I could find at the time. My buddy is running a metal gasket, far as I know straight from Cummins, and my boss' 04.5 runs the metal one, too. I just want to find out for sure so I don't melt my new motor.
I'll prolly end up with a manual, I'm pretty sure I can't afford a good auto with my income for a while. I've heard my gutbag360 won't hold up to the power of the P-pumped motor, might get it rebuilt and see how long it lasts.

Okay, got a look at my motor a little closer tonight. The pump is a remanufactured one from Cummins, numbers as follows:
3934242LA
M062504051B
P7100 3921922-C
Anybody got an idea on what pump this is? The tag is riveted in place of the original. Hope someone can shed some light on it. I've looked everywhere!
My AHA! moment for the night.... put in the last line of my pump and this came up.........................tons of good info, I think. Turns out it's a 190 pump. Is that good?
