i have a 96 ram 12v 3500 with slushbox auto tranny. im looking into switching to manual transmission. what exactly will i need and around how much will it cost me if i do the work myself. come on now i need some feedback.

Lots of people have done it on here, I'm sure somebody will pipe up.

 

Buy a donor truck. And make sure it is as close as possible to your truck. Other than that it is a good 3-4 days of swapping parts. less if you have help.(provided you don't hit any snags, have to get driveshafts made, yadda yadda)

 

look up my post man it has it all every part and price break down its not that hard if you can wrench on stuff

 

I just now realized that you were switching from an auto to a manual. That makes the swap a good bit simpler.

 

i did my complete swap in about 8 hours or so. not including getting the drivelines redone
