ball joints
my ball joints are going out:humm: actually they are really bad cuz i can wobble the tire like six inches when a jack the truck,
which brand is the best to buy? cuz i don't wont to replace them every year, and is it advisable to replace the wheel bearings as long as im taking it apart? |
I usually go with moog
I'm go with Dan the gear man.Dodge Front Axle & Steering
I went with moog for my uppers and the house brand at oriley's for the lowers, for some reason the house brand offered a lifetime warranty and moog didnt... kinda weird.
went with ones from napa on mine had a life time warranty on uppers and lowers,,
thanks guys mabey ill go with moog or find one with life time warrenty, if they offer the warrenty they should be good ones
just did mine last week, id go with moog just because of the name, all what kind of money you want to spend, a friend used house brand from oreillys and has had good luck
I run the Oreilly house brand on a Jeep that is a trail only rig and gets beat on very hard. They seem to hold up pretty well to the abuse and have a lifetime warranty just in case.
but your comparing a 3000 lbs jeep to an 7500lbs truck. and especially with that cummins in the front, ball joints get destroyed quick. thats just part of owning one:c:
That is a good point - but the other end of my point was that the Jeep is beaten on offroad all of the time where the truck is not. Those ball joints take some beating. Also, the ball joints in the truck are bigger. Lastly, according to the local truck scale the Jeep is 4020lbs and my 95 2500 12v weighs 6040.
