Tranny lines
 

Ok heres the deal I had my tranny rebuilt a few months back 2/10 twice !! the first I picked up the truck did a test run I was getting bad chatter about the time the converter kicked in to OD so back she goes. so now the second test drive same deal, back she goes. I was told that the first time in all it needed was spring adjustment in the valve body. right!! after the second run they deside that it's a bad converter so in goes a new converter and a new valve body (don't know the brand name) it's an up grade that circulate's fluid in park mode.stronger springs ect. well anyway all this in and out stuff beat the hell outa the fluid lines!! I'm looking for a lead on and price line for replacing with other than oem. Thank for your in put!!

I switched all my lines to 8an ss braided hose and fittings for about $125.

I agree with the soft lines. I'm running about half rubber and half factory until the rest of the factory rusts out and blows.

The soft lines should last forever in this application and they are way cheaper and easier to install. If you want to go really low-buck, just cut off your factory lines about 2" past where they hook up (usually still solid there), give them a bubble flare, then use 1/2" transmission oil cooler line and clamps. Whole job should cost under $40 doing it that way. No real pressure in the lines (under 150 psi) so no big deal. That hose is good for way more.

I'm looking at a larger cooler for the tranny that comes with lines and connections at autozone. Compressor works 11X11X1 it costs $60.00. Sure beats buying just the hoses for about the same price. Anyone know if these are crap or not? :humm:

If you are adding that to the stock cooler, it will help. If you are trying to use it as a stand-alone it won't be enough cooling.

I prefer the plate coolers over fin and tube. Way more efficient.
