Injector Pump Needs Rebuilding

I've been experiencing a small oil leak around the injector pump since I got this thing and now it's bad enough, I need to take it in and have it torn out and rebuild it. Estimate I got is going to be around $1000. Yikes. Nothing's cheap.
My question is how much is new?
Or how much for a rebuilt step up from stock?
Just wondering if I'm better off just fixing what I have or looking for something new.
thanks

Ah ha....heave heard of instances of P7100's developing leaks due to the ULSD - I bet that is the case here.

check out - www.usdieselparts.com

also www.vulcanperformance.com has them for $1300...

Theres also a diesel shop in Pensicola, Florida that has very reasonable prices - the name escapes me at the moment.

Or you could buy a used one off e-bay...but thats a gamble.

Interesting. It has always leaked a little but has definitely gotten worse as of late. Who knows, may be the culprit???
Thanks.

I read an article somewhere from Chevron and it was talking about IP failures due to the poor quality of the new fuel....I wish I bookmarked it :se:
