well, dads new truck came with an extra transmission that supposedly the 5th gear had backed off of. well, i pulled the tail housing off, and found that a few of the teeth were broke off of 5th gear. so figured that would all i have to do to it. then i pull the pto cover off, and found that one of the internal gears was broke also. :banging:

so i pulled dads trans out of his truck, to see what was wrong with it. pulled the tail shaft housing off of it, and every one of the teeth were broke off it, and most of the teeth off the counter shaft. so botht the transmissions need a complete rebuild :90:

so my ? is, do yall know where a nv4500 is for cheap? case we may just buy a used one, then fix these two up later on and sale them.

there was a couple guys in here that found them for a decent price out east
